Business Not As Usual – Identifying Innovation with Speed

Chris Hodge, Product Manager & Innovation Leader, Intuit Intuit will teach their Design for Delight framework and how to apply this design thinking methodology to create innovation and products that deliver real customer benefit. Chris Hodge is best described as passionate and obsessed. Especially when it comes to his customers. Early in Chris’ career he spent five years as a restaurateur and discovered putting your customers’ needs front and center is what leads to real growth and innovation. Chris created experiences and processes to deliver benefit for his customers that are still leading edge in that industry today. Realizing the need for more, he returned to school earning a degree in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison kicking-off his next learning frontier in technology. For the past five years Chris has focused his passion and customer obsession into the financial world as an Innovation Leader & Product Manager at Intuit; the makers of TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint. Chris has led numerous product teams at Intuit creating innovations that range from simplifying tax preparation, to digital coaching apps for start-ups. Recently, Chris has grown into a thought leader in the design thinking community because of his bold passion for human centered design and customer obsession. Because of this he has expanded his role at Intuit. Chris is taking on the personal mission to partner with leaders across varied industries identifying how to utilize design thinking to create meaningful innovations and value for their communities, all while applying these frameworks to the professional tax space, learning and disrupting our country’s tax preparation industry.
